Resurrection Web Design
tbolton — Mon, 03/21/2011 - 22:15
This site, Resurrection Web Design, is a Drupal based website. This site has a nice outside, but the real beauty is on the inside of it. When clients log in, they are presented with a screen that shows them all of the projects that we are currently collaborating on, as well as any tickets that they have opened with us (status, priority, etc). There is also a place for "Feature Suggestions", where I can suggest a feature for their website. This system is excellent, as it gives clients and myself the ability to go back and forth, without having to talk on the phone, schedule appointments, or set aside time to answer some basic questions. The ticketing system comes fully integrated with an SMS Gateway, which means, that if a ticket is urgent (say someone deleted everything from the database), they can log into my site, put in an "Urgent" ticket, which sends a text message to my cell phone, alerting me of the issue. Each client can have multiple users assigned to it's account as well, so if we have a group of people working for Pepsi, different departments of marketing may be on different projects, this gives us the ability to have more than one user per client. As Resurrection Web Design grows, so does the functionality of the website.
Paper and Other Absolute Truths
tbolton — Mon, 03/21/2011 - 22:05
Paper and Other Absolute Truths was quite the redesign for a WordPress website. This site was originally created with a completely different theme, but after going over it with the client, and with numerous conversations, mock ups, different themes, we opted to change to a different theme, which offered differing integrated functionality, and to re-theme, to get it to look similar to his previous site.
The site uses an interesting spin on the tagging system, which we use to populate different boxes, bring up data, and for limiting content. This website was designed and developed with a long-term vision (as most sites should be), so it comes with deep, easy to use functionality, while holding onto scalability and the aim of being a staple of information for the paper industry.
A Community for Christ

This website is Drupal based. The purpose of this site is to write a book. Users can sign up, write content and submit it. It then goes through an approval process from the moderators, and upon decision, will be included in the final book.
This site uses Rules, Workflow, and Views heavily. It also sends specific headers on certain links to allow for the submitted content to be exported directly to Microsoft Word. That was a very useful feature. Most of the time clients want to import from Word to Drupal, not the other way around, but this is a very useful feature. The module was already written, but customizations were added and are still being added to allow for more flexibility and intuitive usage.
ULT Service

Advanced Environmental was another site where the previous web masters had abandoned their client. After years of going from one person to the next without getting any results, we ended up crossing paths, and within a few weeks we had the website up and running with all the functionality needed.
Career Solutions
tbolton — Wed, 12/16/2009 - 20:06
Career Solutions is a website that finds job seekers and hooks them up with employers that go to the same church. It's a great way to bring people together, increase fellowship, and help teach people about tithing.
T&J Printing Supply
tbolton — Wed, 12/16/2009 - 19:55
T&J's previous web master created the shell of the site, but disappeared before creating the shopping cart. After five months of no contact they found me. We decided to go with Magento for a shopping cart solution. So I created a custom theme based on their previous site and we were up and running in no time.

This site was done within four hours as an interview for a client. I had all of the words, and most of the pictures for the site. There was a lot of graphics manipulation done to the images that I was supplied with. This was done with Drupal.
